UN CEO Water Mandate: Invitation to Join the Water Action Hub for the Orange-Senqu River Basin

Dear Stakeholder,

The UN CEO Water Mandate, with project partners, the International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF), Deloitte, and the German development agency GIZ (on behalf of BMZ) invites you to join the Water Action Hub (the “Hub”) before its beta-launch at this year’s Stockholm World Water Week on August 27th.

The Hub is an online platform designed to promote water-related collaboration among business and other stakeholders in river basins. It is believed that many water-related problems cannot be solved independently; rather collective action is necessary to bring about desired outcomes. Working collectively brings about mutual benefits to all parties involved such as shared ownership and joint responsibility, more informed decision making, and more durable and well informed actions and outcomes. Collective action can also support in overcoming shared risks with complex institutional causes and social, environmental, and economic consequences.

At the launch, the Hub will pilot three initial river basins, the Colorado (North America), the Wami-Ruvu (Tanzania), and the Orange-Senqu (Southern Africa). We believe your participation in this platform would enhance its effectiveness, but also that the Hub could benefit you and your organization and provide your organization with visibility at World Water Week. The Hub is expected to be a key collaborating tool that may enable your organization to meet its water objectives.

To join the Hub go to: http://wateractionhub.org/accounts/register/

The Hub is free-of-charge to use and open to all organizations and entities interested in working with others to promote better local water resource management.
