Hi Bijaya Satapathy

You can also seek computer and other hardware donations from "for profit companies" across India. These companies as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) donate used computers which are normally in very good working conditions. They do it regularly. You will have to contact companies in your working area and start building relation with them and get their donations. I have been doing the similar kind of work in Bangalore and Mumbai and i am receiving positive response from them and also going to receive about 50 computers in this month.

Respected & dear Friends

RSNH (Rajputana Society of Natural History) has started establishing information centres/ libraries in rural areas of Rajasthan. Initiation has been taken from the rural areas of Bharatpur where RSNH has successfully executed Project boond V which could be read in detail at following link

And

I would like to request the Friends/ Library Professionals to please contribute the old books/ literature or any other articles/materials which you feel could be of importance for the development of knowledge centres for village community. Please do not make Financial contributions.
The contributions will be duly acknowledged.
Suggestions on establishing information centres/ libraries in villages are also welcome.
Contributions could be made either directly to the village Representative Mr Surjeet Singh 09414882062 or RSNH Bharatpur Branch Office (167-B, Jawahar Nagar, Bharatpur 321001 Rajasthan, India).

Looking forward for your generous help.

I notice Techsoup in the bookmark section. Like to add that Techsoup is partnering with NASSCOM Foundation for running the technology donation program in India, www.bigtech.in

There are about 800+ ngos registered on BiGTech and requesting software from Microsoft, QuickHeal and others.
